Singer-songwriter Katy Perry is currently enthralling with her electrifying performances as part of the Lifetimes Tour. While she continues to hit headlines due to her personal life and performances, she recently won hearts with a heartfelt gesture. During the 13th show of her North American leg on Sunday, Perry paused her performance mid-song when a fan collapsed in the audience.
As per E! News, Perry invited the fan named McKenna on stage, and as soon as the fan arrived on stage, she fainted. The singer immediately stopped the music, requesting medical assistance and urged the crowd calmly to chant McKenna's name. As soon as the situation was under her stride, she resumed singing.
Katy Perry addressed the situation and said, "Sometimes you're so brave and you can get on stage, and it's overwhelming. I understand that feeling." She even gave an update on the fan later during the show and said, "McKenna's doing great by the way." Videos from the night made the rounds on social media, and people praised the Firework singer for putting safety first.
The Lifetimes Tour, which kicked off in Mexico City, is now heading to Toronto. Perry will perform at the Scotiabank Arena on August 6.
Outside the spotlight of her tour, Perry has also been making headlines for more personal reasons. The singer was recently spotted enjoying an intimate dinner with former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau in Montreal, fuelling speculation of their new romance. While social media has been buzzing with theories, neither party has reacted to the claims. Amid this, the Canadian leader was also seen strolling with a dog in a Montreal park beside Perry.
Talking about both Katy and Justin, there have been major controversies in recent times regarding their personal lives. The former Canadian Prime Minister separated from his wife, Sophie Grégoire Trudeau, in 2023 after 18 years of marriage. He stepped down as Prime Minister in January 2025 and has since kept a low profile. Meanwhile, the California Gurls singer terminated her long-term relationship with Orlando Bloom earlier this month. They continue to co-parent their daughter, Daisy Dove.
