Reality TV star and beauty mogul Kylie Jenner is facing another legal battle after a former private chef filed a lawsuit alleging that an excessive workload during her high-risk pregnancy contributed to her miscarriage. According to the Los Angeles Times, the latest complaint marks the third workplace-related lawsuit against Jenner in less than two months, following separate cases filed by two former housekeepers.

According to court documents filed in Los Angeles Superior Court, the former chef claims she began working for Jenner around Thanksgiving 2024. Shortly after joining, she allegedly informed her supervisors that she was three months pregnant and required reasonable accommodations because of her high-risk pregnancy.

Despite notifying her employers, the lawsuit alleges she was repeatedly assigned physically demanding work. The complaint claims that on New Year's Eve 2024, supervisors instructed her to carry heavy food items across a street and uphill without assistance. The chef alleges she became dizzy, struggled to breathe and had to be assisted by security personnel.

The lawsuit further states that in February 2025, while five months pregnant, she was assigned to work at one of Jenner's children's birthday celebrations in Palm Springs. She claims she received little support despite the scale of the event and became physically and emotionally exhausted. The following morning, she allegedly woke up with severe bleeding and drove herself to the hospital, where doctors informed her there was no detectable heartbeat and that she had lost her unborn child.

The complaint also alleges that after informing her supervisors about the miscarriage, she was later criticised over the condition of the event kitchen and eventually wrongfully terminated. In addition to pregnancy discrimination and failure to provide reasonable accommodations, the lawsuit accuses the defendants of harassment, unpaid wages and misclassifying her as an independent contractor.

Her attorney, Della Shaker, said, "Celebrity status does not exempt anyone from California's employment laws. We look forward to presenting the evidence in court and allowing the facts to speak for themselves."

Kylie Jenner's previous lawsuits

The latest complaint comes after two former housekeepers separately sued Jenner earlier this year, alleging workplace discrimination, harassment and poor treatment. One of the housekeepers even claimed she secretly handed Jenner a letter asking for help, but received no intervention.

A representative for Jenner had not publicly responded to the latest lawsuit at the time of writing. The claims made in the lawsuit remain allegations and have not been proven in court.
