Linda Hamilton back in 'Terminator' franchise

Linda Hamilton is all set to reunite with director James Cameron for the new installment of the Terminator franchise.

The 60-year-old actor, who essayed the role of Sarah Connor in the cult sci-fi movie, will make a comeback to play one of the silver screen's strongest female characters. Cameron, 63, made the announcement a private event celebrating the popular franchise, where the filmmaker said he aims to make a statement on gender roles in action movies with Hamilton's return.

"As meaningful as she was to gender and action stars verywhere back then, it's going to make a huge statement to have that seasoned warrior that she's become return. There are 50-year-old, 60-year-old guys out there killing bad guys but there isn't an example of that for women," the director said.
