One Direction singer Louis Tomlinson, 25, was arrested at Los Angeles airport following an altercation with a paparazzi photographer on Saturday, but was later released on a $20,000 bond and instructed to return to court on March 29.
The confrontation reportedly took place when the singer arrived in LA with girlfriend Eleanor Calder and a photographer got too close to his face, with other travellers turning on Calder.
While some reports suggest the lensman was too close for Tomlinson's comfort, claiming, "he [Tomlinson] allegedly pulled the photographer to the floor by his legs", others suggest the situation got heated after the singer witnessed Calder being bothered.
According to a celebrity news site, "A female witness started recording Louis' GF as she tried to leave. The two women allegedly then got into a physical altercation."
If convicted, the singer could face up to a year in jail.
