With Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's highly anticipated wedding reportedly around the corner, excitement is building not just among fans but within the Kelce family as well. Travis' father, Ed Kelce, recently shared his thoughts on the upcoming nuptials and had nothing but praise for the global pop superstar.
Speaking at elder son Jason Kelce's fundraiser event in Sea Isle City, New Jersey, Ed opened up about the wedding buzz while chatting with local media. The proud father admitted that he is eagerly looking forward to the celebration.
According to reports, Ed described Taylor as "a sweetheart" and called her "truly the girl next door" while speaking about her relationship with Travis.
"I am super excited," Ed said when asked about the wedding.
His comments come amid growing speculation surrounding the couple's big day, which is reportedly expected to take place on July 3 in New York. While neither Taylor nor Travis has publicly revealed wedding details, the event is already being viewed as one of the biggest celebrity weddings in recent memory, bringing together the worlds of music, entertainment and sports.
Meanwhile, Travis has reportedly been making the most of his final weeks before marriage. Reports suggest the NFL star recently celebrated with a bachelor party that included stops at a Chris Lake concert, a NASCAR race at Naval Base Coronado, The Bird Streets Club, Barney's Beanery and a golf simulator outing.
Adding fuel to the speculation, New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani recently appeared to reference the wedding while discussing security preparations for major events taking place in the city this summer.
Speaking about the FIFA World Cup 2026 and other large-scale gatherings, Mamdani reportedly mentioned "Taylor Swift's wedding" among the events expected to coincide with July celebrations in New York. He clarified, however, that he had not personally received an invitation.
Taylor and Travis announced their engagement in August 2025 with a playful social media post that read, "Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married."
Since then, fans have closely followed every update about the couple, whose romance began in 2023 and quickly became one of the most talked-about relationships in pop culture.
