US band Haim has secured the top position on the UK charts with their debut album, 'Days Are Gone', and has beat Justin Timberlake's new album in the process.

The 32-year old singer-songwriter's album ‘The 20/20 Experience 2 of 2', which led the midweek sales by just 28 copies, was overtaken by the Californian sisters' band, the BBC reported.

The ‘Days Are Gone' album, features their three hit singles ‘Don't Save Me', ‘Falling' and ‘The Wire', ended the week 2,100 copies ahead of Timberlake's album.

Haim, which consists of sisters Este, Danielle and Alana, had earlier won the BBC's ‘Sound Of 2013' poll in January.
