The Wonka actor was seen attending the men's singles quarter-final tennis match between Serbia's Novak Djokovic and Italy's Flavio Cobolli from the royal box. The actor and his wife looked jovial as they enjoyed the game at the iconic grass court at the All England Tennis Club. However, seems like the Wimbledon 2025 quarter-final match "got a bit too much" for the actor.

In the videos circulating online, Hugh is seen exchanging pleasantries with Queen Camilla and her sister, Anabelle, just minutes before dozing off in his seat. As soon as videos of him sleeping surfaced on the internet, the netizens couldn't get enough of the visuals.

Netizens react

Meanwhile, another user called it "one of the most expensive naps in human history…" as others suggested it was a "700£ nap". Citing his earlier chat with Queen Camilla and her sister, Anabelle, a user noted, "Someone back up Hugh Grant, dude is out cold."

Another user suggested, "People have been queuing since 3 am to get into Wimbledon to have a chance of being able to be at this match or even to watch it on the big screen in the grounds. And Hugh Grant slept through the tie break. Frankly, I think it is rude. While BBC Sport's official X account made light of the moment, and wrote, "It's all got a bit too much for Hugh Grant."

Wimbledon is known for being attended by notable celebrities across the globe. Recently, pictures of Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma marking attendance sent the internet into a frenzy. Similarly, in other matches, celebrities like Olivia Rodrigo, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Nick Jonas, among others, were also spotted.
