He recently tasted success with the popular track Teri Aankhon Mein. And now he is all set to make the next big career leap. Music composer Manan Bhardwaj will compose music for Prabhas' upcoming film Radhe Shyam (Hindi version) directed by KK Radha Krishna Kumar. The film's music is backed by T-Series and Manan says he has received tremendous support from head honcho Bhushan Kumar.
Recalling the day, when he first got the call, Manan told us, "So, one day I got a call from T-series and they told me about Radhe Shyam and that they would like me to compose something for the film. I had absolute no briefing or concept with me. So, I asked the team to give me two days to get back to them. Luckily, there was a song I had composed earlier for my own collection, that I felt might just be perfect to share with T-Series. Much to my delight, they loved the song. And the next step was to make the director Radhe sir, Prabhas sir and the whole team listen to it. Everyone loved it and agreed it was a perfect fit for the situation. Every song has its own destiny and I guess this song was destined for Radhe Shyam."
Nevertheless, bagging the film wasn't a cakewalk for Manan. After getting a nod from the makers, the music composer had to make over 30 versions of the song. The song composed by Bhardwaj in the film is being picturised on Prabhas.
When asked about the music of the film Manan, not willing to reveal too much about the film and its music, says, "The music of the film is very rich, and we are experimenting with many new things, it's been more than six months we are working on it. We are working on the music bit by bit and trying to make it more charismatic. The song which we are recording is shot internationally. In my opinion, the music of the film and the way you are going to see Prabhas sir in it, is going to be a new experience for the audience."
The Pehele Pyar ka Pehela Gham composer also opened up about his journey in the music industry. "Well, you can call it a career when you are actually paid for what you are doing. So where I actually started my career is something really difficult for me to answer. You know they say you need to learn to swim really well before jumping into the sea, well that's what I would say in my case. I have been doing many things in the last 10 to 15 years in the industry. I have composed many songs but I would call that just a practice because that really helped me reach where I am today. But I would definitely like to say that my career started when I got signed by T-series. That was actually the beginning for me."
Further talking about his association with Bhushan Kumar, Manan said, "Working with Bhushan sir is just like one on one with god. He is my mentor. There was a time when I used to think that I am the most hardworking person who can work round the clock. But when I started interacting with Bhushan sir I saw a boss who works more than his employees. Bhushan sir not only works round the clock but with complete attention and dedication to what he is listening to. He gives suggestions and corrections all by himself. I am fortunate enough to have had built a certain kind of relationship with him, where I directly get his approvals or suggestion for my work. Whenever he gives me approval it's a festive moment for me."
Radhe Shyam is set to release in July 2021.
