Debutant director Jagadeesh's film Kempa is releasing this Friday. The film has been held up foru00a0 2u00a0and a halfu00a0years.

Additionally, it had faced title problems because the original name Golla refers to a community. So, it was changed to Kempa. The producer, Anekal Balaraj's son, Santhosh, Chennai girl Tanushika, Rana-prathap Singh and Shakila play the lead roles.

Director Jagadeesh says, "The film took a long time for re-recording and postproduction because the theme is realistic. It's about the STF and their hunt for smuggler-poacher Veerappan at Gopinatham. I have dealt with a controversial subject and needed to furnish proof to the censor board."u00a0 Anekal Balaraj says, "Though the film was ready, we had a lot of difficulty getting theatres because four films were released at the same time."u00a0

Now that the big day is finally here, the film-makers are heaving a sigh of relief.
