While speaking to India Today, Aishwarya Lekshmi clarified that rumours around her casting were not true. Notably, her clarification comes after reports suggested that the actress was being considered for a role in the film. Some reports even claimed that she could appear in a negative part.

Addressing the rumours of starring in Raaka, the #Love actress said, "No, I am not part of the film. Somebody, please cast me in the film."

Aishwarya's statement thus puts to rest the recent speculations around her involvement in Raaka. While reports around her casting had been doing the rounds in recent days, the actor has now made it clear that she is not associated with the project.

About Raaka

Raaka marks the first collaboration between Allu Arjun and director Atlee. Ever since it was announced, it has been one of the most closely watched projects. The film also boasts a star-studded ensemble as the two-part epic spans across its dual eras. While Mrunal Thakur is believed to lead the modern-day narrative, the historical Vedic segment will be headlined by Deepika Padukone, Janhvi Kapoor, and Rashmika Mandanna.

Further adding weight to the production, Shah Rukh Khan is expected to shoot an extended cameo in an international schedule. According to speculations, Deepika reportedly portrays a pregnant woman fighting for survival in the film's Puranic Vedic era. Her character arc intersects directly with Rashmika's character, who plays a guide and protector. On the other hand, Janhvi plays a tribal queen operating as a key authority figure in the ancient timeline.

The makers have kept plot details of Raaka under tight wraps. A teaser of the film was recently released, which carried the message, "Beyond what seemed possible. We Dared to Imagine. We Dared to Archive. Raaka: A global triumph (sic)".

The teaser followed an earlier first look of Allu Arjun, which added to the intrigue around the project.
