Ever since filmmaker Atlee called action on âRaaka' in June 2025, Allu Arjun has been flying into and out of Mumbai. Now, the buzz in the industry circles is that the South star, who resides in Hyderabad, is moving base to Mumbai. Well, almost. Sources have told mid-day that his relocation to the Maximum City is guided by his project line-up.
It turns out Allu is likely to collaborate with âKGF' director Prashanth Neel on his next. A source close to the development shared, "After âRaaka', Allu Arjun has a Lokesh Kanagaraj movie on his plate. After that, the focus is on one more event film, and Prashanth Neel might be at the helm. A chunk of that too will be shot in Mumbai, besides parts of Europe."
The insider added that the actor's move to Mumbai is tied to this phase of planning and career expansion. "It's simply about proximity. When you're discussing multiple pan-India films with directors like Atlee, Lokesh, and Prashanth, Mumbai becomes the easiest operational base. He will divide time between Hyderabad and Mumbai for the next few years, with the latter becoming the work address. He isn't leaving Hyderabad," said the insider.
Earlier speculation suggested that the two would team up for a large-scale action film, tentatively referred to as âRavanam'. For now, Neel is tied up with âDragon', and Allu Arjun, with âRaaka'. But the duo is said to be interested in revisiting the idea of the actioner.
