Dhanush, who is currently shooting for his upcoming film Om Chapter 1: Udhiram - The Blood Wood, recently took some time off to visit the revered Annamalaiyar Temple in Tiruvannamalai during the early hours of Monday. The actor was accompanied by his sons, Linga and Yatra, as they offered prayers at the temple. Notably, Dhanush's visit comes as filming for Om enters its final schedule in the region. Videos of the actor greeting devotees and being mobbed by fans outside the temple earlier went viral on social media.

Dhanush visits Annamalaiyar Temple with sons

Dhanush was seen dressed in a traditional outfit as he, along with his sons, offered prayers to the presiding deity. He participated in the Gau Puja, a traditional cow worship ritual, before offering prayers to the deity.

Notably, this is not the first time Dhanush has been spotted in the temple town. He was earlier spotted outside the Annamalaiyar Temple, creating excitement among fans.

Dhanush mobbed near the temple

Earlier on Sunday, Dhanush was mobbed by hundreds of fans while he was shooting for his upcoming film OM Chapter 1: Udhiram - The Blood Wood near the famous Annamalaiyar Temple in Thiruvannamalai, Tamil Nadu. Videos from the incident have been widely shared on social media showed a large crowd mobbing around the actor as he walked towards his car after wrapping up the shoot.

Fans surrounded Dhanush's car as the actor made his way to click pictures and record videos. Security personnel can be seen stepping in and helping him move through the crowd safely. Notably, despite the chaos, Dhanush can be seen staying calm and acknowledging the fans before leaving.

Meanwhile, Dhanush has also sparked speculations surrounding his political entry and debut. While Dhanush has not officially announced his entry into politics, his recent speech at one of the blood donation camps in Chennai led to chatter about a possible political debut.

During the event, Dhanush reportedly asked his fan clubs to move beyond celebrating his film releases and audio launches. Her urged them to focus on social welfare activities in their local communities instead.
