Dulquer Salmaan calls out parody account impersonating him, urges fans not to believe it

Actor Dulquer Salmaan recently took to social media to flag a fake account impersonating him on social media. The actor warned fans against the account and even asked fans to stop believing a fake account, adding that it had been commenting on posts pretending to be him. The Kantha actor also said that he had reported the account and even filed a complaint against it.

Dulquer Salmaan flags fake account

Dulquer took to X on September 27 to clarify that a fake account interacting as him was not his real account, adding that its posts have been creating unnecessary confusion and negativity.

Dulquer claimed that the account describes itself as a parody profile but regularly interacts on the microblogging site as though it is him. He shared that the account has even commented on films, other actors and has even posted fake wishes to members of his own family.

Dulquer Salmaan wrote, "Kindly requesting everyone to stop believing _dulQuer to be my real account. This account claims to be a 'parody account' and therefore feels it's amusing to pretend to be me and comment as me on everything. Whether it's writing about movies or about other actors to even writing fake wishes to my own family members. It's causing unnecessary confusion and negativity."

Dulquer also said that he has already reported the account and filed an official complaint with X. However, he mentioned that he is still waiting for a response from the platform. "I've already reported this account and filed an official complaint but still awaiting a response from X," he concluded.
