The makers of Jana Nayagan have finally broken the silence on the Censor Board certification of the film. Touted as the final film of Tamil Nadu CM Joseph Vijay, the movie has remained in the news for months now. Recently, claims surfaced that it had been cleared by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) with an 'A' certificate. Besides, a fake censor certificate also went viral. Now, producer KVN Productions has refuted the reports, adding that the movie is yet to be certified.

Jana Nayagan makers on certification

The clarification from the makers comes after a picture, which many claimed to be the censor certificate of the film, went viral on the internet. However, the production house has denied its authenticity.

Clarifying the status of the certification process, the producer stated that the CBFC has reviewed Jana Nayagan; however, they have asked for a final set of revisions before they can issue the official certificate. According to an Indian Express report, the producer told them, "The image being circulated is fake. The CBFC has completed its review and sent us the final list of revisions. Once we complete those changes, we are hopeful of receiving the certification and bringing the film to theatres."

Certification process nears completion

Although the film is yet to be certified, the makers expressed hope that the process is in its final leg. The production team is believed to be making changes in the film as per recommendations of the CBFC, hoping to get the film certified once the required changes are made.

Meanwhile, according to reports, preparations for the film's theatrical release have begun despite the pending certification. Industry sources stated that theatre owners across Tamil Nadu have already started planning the release, expecting that the certification process will soon be cleared.

On the other hand, makers of Jana Nayagan are reportedly looking to release the film theatrically sometime in the last week of July or the first week of August. However, the final release date depends on when the CBFC gives its final clearance. After the certification process is completed, an official release date is expected to be announced.
