Jason Sanjay has issued a statement warning people against fake social media accounts operating under his name and identity. The filmmaker clarified which accounts are officially authorised by him and stressed that he is not associated with any official fan clubs or communities. The statement comes weeks after his directorial debut, Sigma, hit theatres on October 2.

Jason Sanjay warns on fake accounts

Jason Sanjay has issued an official statement identifying his authorised social media accounts and clarifying the status of fan clubs. The statement provides a definitive list of the social media accounts that are owned, managed, or authorised by him.

"Any other accounts, pages, or profiles operating under my name, likeness, or variations of my identity on these or any other digital platforms are entirely fake. Consequently, any posts, comments, direct messages, business solicitations, or communications originating from any accounts not explicitly listed above are not mine. I hold no responsibility or liability for their content, actions, or consequences," read a part of the statement.

He also clarified that there is currently no official fan club associated with Jason. "Please be informed that we have not authorised, launched or recognised any official fan club, association or community. Any groups, pages or accounts claiming to be our 'official fan club' or 'authorised community' are completely unofficial and unapproved," the statement read.

More about Jason Sanjay

On the work front, Jason Sanjay, son of CM Vijay, recently made his directorial debut with Sigma. The film was released in theatres on October 2. It starred Sundeep Kishan and Faria Abdullah. The action-adventure heist film follows a librarian and treasure hunter who becomes involved in a major criminal operation.

On the day of the release, Vijay supported his son by accepting the frame of the film and proudly lifting it above his head to display it to the crowd. Jason had previously explained why his father would not be involved in promoting the film. Speaking ahead of the release, Jason said he wanted the attention to remain on the movie rather than Vijay's political and cinematic identity.

While Vijay was away, Jason's mother, Sangeetha Sornalingam, and sister, Divya Saasha, attended the first-day-first-show of Sigma at Kamala Cinemas in Chennai. Jason was also seen with his family at the theatre.
