A clip of the actress from an event in Kerala is going viral, where she calmly yet fiercely responded to a journalist who questioned her about the colour of the outfit she was wearing.
A video of the interaction is being widely circulated on social media. Many are praising the 26-year-old actress for addressing the query without losing her composure. Priya was seen attending a promotional event for a talcum powder, where she appeared in a saffron-coloured outfit matching the colour of the brand.
During the media interaction, a journalist reportedly asked, "Why are you wearing a saffron-coloured outfit? Is there any special reason behind it?" The unusual question initially caught the actor off guard. However, she kept calm and replied with a smile, saying, "My dear brother, there is no special reason. I chose this outfit because it matches the brand theme of the event. I wear outfits in all colours."
Priya clarified that her outfit was selected solely to match the event's brand theme and was not expected to share any political or ideological message.
The viral clip has sparked widespread discussions on social media about celebrities being be questioned about the colours they choose to wear. The query drew significant attention because saffron is widely associated with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), as well as Sanatan Dharma in Hinduism.
