Rajinikanth discharged from Singapore hospital

Superstar Rajinikanth has "recovered completely" and has been discharged from the Mount Elizabeth Hospital here after being treated for respiratory problems.

"Superstar discharged from hospital. He has recovered completely and taking rest," his son-in-law, actor Dhanush tweeted.

Rajinikanth, 61, was admitted to the hospital here on May 28 after being flown in from Chennai a day earlier after he was discharged from Sri Ramchandra medical centre where he was undergoing treatment since May 13.

The film icon is expected to spend some more time in Singapore along with his family before he returns home.

Dhanush, who has won the best actor national award for his role in 'Aadukalam', said they are planning to celebrate their success with the superstar.

"Soon award celebrations," Dhanush tweeted.
