Rashmika Mandanna is currently at the peak of her career. She is one of the top and most prominent actresses in the South film industry and Bollywood. After a smashing debut with Kannada film Kirik Party, reports were rife she is banned from the industry, following her breakup with Rakshit Shetty. The actress has now reacted to the claims, stating she wished the Kantara team on success of film.
In a recent interaction with Good News Kannada, Rashmika was asked if she had watched Rishab Shetty's Kantara: Chapter 1 and whether she had shared any feedback with the team.
Responding to the question, she said, "See, the thing is⦠I didn't see the film in the first 2-3 days since its release. I didn't see it right then, but I recently watched it and even texted the team. They even replied with a âThank you' response too."
She further added, "See, the world doesn't know what is happening on the inside. Inside, god knows we can't always put a camera on our personal lives. Also, we aren't those people who share our messages online. So, what people say about a person's life doesn't matter. Now, what they say about our professional life, we'll consider it and work on it."
When asked directly whether she has been banned by Kannada producers, Rashmika smiled and clarified, "So far, I have not been banned. So, yeahâ¦"
The actress emphasised that public perception should never dictate how an artist lives or works. "One cannot live according to others' opinions," she said.
She is currently gearing up for release of Aditya Sarpotdar's Thamma. The film releasing this Diwali stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Paresh Rawal, Sathyaraj, and Faisal Malik in pivotal roles. Apart from this, she has romantic drama The Girlfriend releasing on November 7. She is also shooting for Cocktail 2 with Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon in Italy. The actress also has Mysaa and Animal Park.
On the personal front, she recently got engaged to longtime boyfriend Vijay Deverakonda in an intimate ceremony, The couple is reportedly looking forward to get married in February 2026. While the actors are tight-lipped about it, Vijay's team confirmed the news.
