After hinting at stepping away from films amid his ongoing divorce battle, Ravi Mohan has now assured fans that he isn't leaving cinema. The actor apologised for his earlier statement and confirmed that he will return to acting soon. He also thanked the film fraternity and fans for standing by him during a difficult phase.
While speaking at the JFW Achiever Awards, Ravi Mohan said, "I am turning 46 this year. Twenty-three divided by two, half of my life has been spent in cinema. It's a pity that a small mistake of mine has hurt you all so much. Personal life and professional life are both 50-50 for me, but the emotions in my personal life became a bit more," he said.
He further added, "I was a bit emotional, but everyone in the industry came up to me and said, âWe'll accept anything you say. But you must never say you're not part of cinema again.' I apologise to all of them."
He also confirmed his comeback, saying, "I also won't betray my fans anymore. I'll definitely come back. Your happiness, your kindness, your generosity⦠I plan to return as Ponniyin Selvan or Karathey Babu. To all those who gave me this confidence, I bow my head in gratitude."
Despite announcing a break from acting, Ravi Mohan was later confirmed as part of the Lokesh Cinematic Universe (LCU) film Benz, starring Raghava Lawrence. He also has Karathey Babu and Genie awaiting release.
Tamil actor Ravi Mohan has once again grabbed headlines due to his personal life. After he announced his separation from Aarti, she filed a petition in the Family Welfare Court seeking Rs 40 lakh in monthly maintenance, stating that essential child expenses had gone unpaid. Ravi Mohan later held a press interaction expressing deep emotional distress, claiming he was treated like a "slave" during his marriage and subjected to humiliation. He also announced that he would temporarily step away from acting until his divorce is finalised and the online harassment ceased.
During the press conference, Ravi claimed, "I will not work in the industry anymore. I will clean my personal life, save my reputation, and then get back to my acting career."
The actor later grabbed attention after Keneeshaa, who he was rumoured to be in a relationship with, penned a cryptic post on social media saying, "I walked into this story with love. I walk out of it with silence," hinting at a breakup.
