Jason Sanjay's directorial debut Sigma has sparked attention ahead of its release, with his mother, Sangeetha Sornalingam, and sister, Divya Saasha, spotted at a Chennai theatre for an early screening. Their appearance comes as Jason has spoken about how his father, actor Vijay, may react after watching the film and expressed confidence that he will be proud.

Viral videos from Chennai show Jason Sanjay's mother, Sangeetha Sornalingam, and sister, Divya Saasha, arriving at Kamala Cinemas to catch an early show of Sigma. Sangeetha was seen smiling and acknowledging the paparazzi as she made her way into the theatre, while Divya accompanied her for the screening. Sangeetha opted for an off-white kurta set, while Divya kept her look casual in a black top paired with blue jeans. The mother-daughter duo was also accompanied by other family members.

Jason on Vijay's reaction to Sigma

During a recent conversation, Jason was asked how his father would have reacted after watching the film. "My dad is usually a quiet person. He takes his time. If I ask a question, he'll take 10 seconds to respond. If he's quiet all the while, I'll ask, ‘Did you cut the call, Appa?' Think, come to your conclusion, and then call me, email me, or something. I think you need more time to analyse the film. But he'll like the film; he'll be proud," he said.

For those unversed, Vijay's personal life has taken centre stage after his wife, Sangeetha Sornalingam, filed for divorce. Sangeetha has accused Vijay of having an extramarital affair. While she did not name anyone in the petition, several reports suggest that the actress referred to in the filing is Trisha Krishnan. The actress was recently seen making public appearances with CM.

After news of trouble in Vijay's marriage surfaced, some social media users claimed that Jason no longer follows his father's Instagram account. Jason Sanjay has reportedly dropped his father Vijay's initial from his name.
