Vijay officially took oath as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu at Chennai’s Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium on May 10. The swearing-in ceremony witnessed the presence of several celebrities from the Tamil film industry, including Trisha Krishnan, KL Narayana, and Vijay’s longtime collaborators
Vijay’s parents, filmmaker S. A. Chandrasekhar and Shoba Chandrasekhar, attended the event and were seated prominently during the ceremony.
Sangeetha also attended the event along with her husband, Krish, and their daughter. Sangeetha had earlier shared screen space with Vijay in Varisu.
Jai, who previously worked with Vijay in Puthiya Geethai, was among the celebrities spotted at the stadium during the swearing-in ceremony.
Trisha Krishnan attended the swearing-in ceremony and grabbed attention with her elegant traditional look.
KL Narayana, producer of Vijay’s upcoming film Jana Nayagan, was present at the event.
Lyricist Vivek was also present at the stadium for Vijay's ceremony. He has written quite a few of Vijay’s introduction songs over the last decade in his acting journey.
Vijay’s oath-taking marked a major political shift in Tamil Nadu, ending decades of dominance by the DMK and AIADMK alliances. The ceremony became one of the most talked-about events on social media, with fans celebrating Vijay’s transformation from Tamil cinema superstar to Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu.
