Shhyamali De has a degree in psychology from the University of Mumbai and has long been associated with the film industry, despite coming from a non-filmy background.

Shhyamali De and Raj Nidimoru tied the knot on Novemeber 27, 2015.

Shhyamali has worked as an assistant director on films like Aamir Khan's Rang De Basanti and Ajay Devgn's Omkara.

 She has also worked as the creative head on the 2014 romcom Happy Ending, which was interestingly directed by Raj & DK.

Her association with the industry also involves working as an assistant director with prominent filmmakers such as Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra and Vishal Bhardwaj.

Notably, Raj had frequently credited Shhyamali for her influence on his work, praising her for keeping him grounded and offering thoughtful inputs, especially in casting.

The couple reportedly parted ways in 2022, after over seven years of togetherness. 

Interestingly, even after their divorce in 2022, Shhyamali posted a Valentine's Day wish for him in February 2023, leaving everyone confused.

Her Instagram is filled with pictures with Raj, wherein she has voice he admiration and love for the filmmaker. 

After rumours of Raj's relationship with Samantha Ruth Prabhu began circulating, she has been sharing cryptic yet philosophical messages, hinting at them being subconscious responses to the current controversy.

Interestingly, Shhyamali has still not taken down her pictures with Raj from social media despite his marriage with Samantha. 

Nevertheless, Shhyamali has maintained silence regarding the allegations of infidelity and Raj's second marriage.
