Ambika
Ambika Ranjankar, best known for her long-running role as Komal Hathi in the popular sitcom Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, was lately absent from numerous episodes, sparking extensive speculation over her resignation. Fans soon flocked to social media, asking if she was the most recent cast member to leave the beloved series.
However, Ambika has emphasised that she has not left the show. In a conversation with Telly Chakkar, she addressed the rumours by saying, "No, I haven't quit the show. I am very much a part of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah." She further explained her temporary absence, adding, "Well, for some personal reasons, I was away. I needed some time for myself."
Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah stars Dilip Joshi, Nirmal Soni, Munmun Dutta, Amit Bhatt, Sunayana Fozdar, Sachin Shroff, Mandar Chandwadkar, Sonalika Joshi, and others. The show continues to delight viewers with stories about the people of Gokuldham Society, a dynamic housing colony where families from all ethnic backgrounds coexist peacefully.
The creators recently added a new Rajasthani family to the story - the Binjolas. Kuldeep Gor plays Ratan Binjola, a saree business owner, and Dharti Bhatt plays his influential wife, Rupa. Their children, Veer and Bansari, are played by Akshaan Sehrawat and Maahi Bhadra.
Earlier, while talking to Mumbai Mirror, Asit Kumarr Modi spoke about casting the new family in the show and also introduced the characters. He said, "Over time, many new members have joined the Gokuldham family, each adding their own charm and being welcomed wholeheartedly by the audience. The Gokuldham family has kept evolving, and we are now delighted to welcome a new Rajasthani family played by Dharti Bhatt and Kuldeep Gor, along with their two children - Akshaan Sehrawat and Maahi Bhadra. For these roles, many artistes auditioned. After months of careful casting, we selected this team for their dedication, sincerity, and strong understanding of a family-oriented daily comedy show. I am confident they will add a unique flavour to the narrative and open up engaging new storylines. Just as Jethalal, Bhide, Madhavi, Babita Ji, Abdul and all the other beloved characters became a part of your everyday lives, I believe this family too will soon find a special place in your hearts."
Aside from her popular television role, Ambika Ranjankar has acted in films and web material, including Yeh Teraa Ghar Yeh Meraa Ghar (2001) and Dosti Ka Naya Maidan (2019).
