Anuj Sachdeva reveals Gaurav Khanna was unaware of Akanksha Chamola's divorce announcement on Lock Upp

Ever since Akanksha Chamola announced her separation from Gaurav Khanna on Lock Upp: Sach Ya Sazaa, the internet has been buzzing with conversations surrounding the same. Now, actor Anuj Sachdeva has made a shocking claim suggesting that Gaurav was unaware that his estranged wife would speak publicly about their marriage on the show.

Anuj Sachdeva says Gaurav Khanna was unaware of Akanksha Chamola's revelation

During an interview with Vickey Lalwani, Anuj claimed that the revelation came as a surprise to him as well. He added that just like the fans, he too was not aware that the couple had been living separately for several months. "I did not know that Gaurav and Akanksha were not staying together since the last 9 months," Anuj shared.

He went on to add that he spoke to Gaurav after the episode aired and said the Bigg Boss 19 winner had not been informed about Akanksha's decision to make their separation public. He said, "Gaurav was completely unaware that Akanksha is going to go public about the current status of their marriage in Lock Upp."

Anuj added that Gaurav had chosen not to discuss his personal life publicly despite the attention around the separation. "And yes, I must say that Gaurav is not washing his dirty linen in public," he added.

Anuj also reacted to Akanksha's statement that she now wants to 'explore life', Anuj denied any indication that she had been held back during the marriage. "Not at all. Gaurav really loved her a lot and gave her all that she wanted," he said.

Anuj even questioned the timing of Akanksha's disclosure, saying, "So far, Akanksha had never gone public about this. I wonder if she's doing it to increase the eyeballs on the show."

Akanksha Chamola announced divorce on Lock Upp

Akanksha recently confirmed that she and Gaurav are heading for a divorce after living separately for nearly a year on Lock Upp: Sach Ya Sazaa. She shared that the decision was mutual, adding that they gradually realised they wanted different things from life. Akanksha also revealed that their opposing views on having children also played a significant role in their decision to part ways.
