Not Mumbai rains but THIS is what caused flooding at Ashnoor Kaur's house on the 40th floor

Actor Ashnoor Kaur, who was last seen on Bigg Boss 19, recently shared a video on her Instagram stories, where she expressed shock on seeing her Mumbai home flooded with water, leaving several furniture items exposed. This came, when Mumbai witnessed heavy rains over the past couple of days. Consequently, fans thought that the condition of her house was due to the rainwater. Ashnoor later clarified that it was not due to rainwater but due to a burst pipe.

Ashnoor Kaur gets trolled for sharing video of flooded home

Ashnoo, earlier on Thursday, took to her Instagram Stories to share a video in which her house was seen flooded with water. Several people were seen cleaning and mopping the floor to get ride of the water that appeared almost everywhere.

She wrote in the caption, "Need to leave for an event and this is what has happened at home. May all the 'nazar' on me turn into happiness, success and growth."

However, netizens trolled her after the video went viral, saying she was doing it for publicity, while many X users came to her defence. Reacting to the video, one netizen wrote, "Just for fake publicity, log kuch bhi crying karte hain!! Kal ko bathroom ka tap band nahin kiya, bathroom se paani overflow hua toh bhi reels and videos banenge (sic)."

Others who came to her defence said, "She lives on the 40th floor and yes, water can come in with strong winds. The balcony may have flooded with rainwater, and then that water could have come inside. Has happened with me on the 5th floor. She does not need this kind of publicity, so she is not faking it."

Another X user commented, "It happens when the drainage pipe gets blocked, and water starts accumulating on the balcony. Through the balcony, it enters the room and eventually the whole house. Happened with me in the past, and I live on the second floor (sic)."

Ashnoor Kaur clarifies

A few hours later, Ashnoor uploaded another Instagram story, clarifying the situation. "Firstly, thanks to everyone who has been checking in on me post my flooding story (laughing emoticon). My DM is full of love and concern," she wrote.

She further clarified, "It was due to a pipe burst (and not rainwater lol). However the situation was immediately brought under control within minutes, and no damage was done, thanks to our prompt and professional housekeeping team of the society." She went on to add how her pet dog ‘enjoyed' the chaos that ensured due to the flooding, and sat at one corner amid all the commotion.
