Punjabi actor Gurpreet Ghuggi has finally broken his silence on the allegations involving him and Love Gill, addressing the controversy through a social media video. While calling the claims baseless, the actor expressed concern over the young actress's mental well-being and the trauma she may be facing. He also confirmed that the matter would be taken to court.
In a video message shared on social media, Gurpreet Ghuggi addressed the allegations in Punjabi. He said, "Today, when we are able to speak, we will definitely talk about it. But I would like to say that it is possible that there was an agenda against me. But if that girl, who has just started her career, who has a family, what will her condition be today? Some people say, why didn't she speak? I have also enquired about her. She is not in a good state of mind."
He continued, "What will happen to her state of mind? What kind of trauma will she be in? I am a strong person. I am mentally strong. I am not the kind of person who will die in the process of committing suicide. I don't know if I have been destroyed. But I am a human being."
He went on to say, "I don't want to talk much here. I just want to say that I am thankful to those who have shown tolerance to this issue. This is a baseless issue. It is a matter of revelation. It is a matter of head and foot. I don't know who will take care of it, but the police will do their job. We will definitely move it to court."
The actor also reassured his supporters that he was doing fine and would not allow the controversy to affect his dignity.
Love Gill was recently grabbing headlines after Scout OP's girlfriend Kaashvi appeared during Weekend Ka Vaar and questioned their bond. She also accused Love of trapping Tanmay, which left her shattered. She later accused Scout of damaging her career and questioned his silence while hinting at a difficult past.
The controversy erupted after a Canada-based YouTuber made allegations involving Love Gill and Gurpreet Ghuggi, who shared screen space in the Punjabi film Furlow. The claims alleged that the two were romantically involved and that Love had become pregnant. A settlement worth Rs 5 crore reportedly kept the matter under wraps.
