Salman Khan sparked concern among Bigg Boss 20 viewers after he appeared to suffer a health scare during the latest Weekend Ka Vaar episode. However, the actor has now clarified that the dramatic sequence was intentional and part of a point he was making to contestant Qazi Touqeer. Salman also expressed disappointment over how the promo was edited.
During the episode, Salman was seen placing his hand on his heart midway through the show. He subsequently appeared to have difficulty speaking before lying down on the stage and asking for a doctor. The sequence quickly sparked concern among viewers, with several fans taking to social media to wish the actor well.
Amid the growing concern, Salman addressed the situation through a statement shared on his Instagram Story, making it clear that the dramatic sequence had been misunderstood.
The actor also expressed his disappointment with the way the 'Bigg Boss' promo had been edited, saying that the cut made it appear as though he was genuinely experiencing a health crisis. According to Salman, the pain he displayed was part of a larger point he was trying to make to contestant Qazi.
He added, "The Bigg Boss promo should not have been cut like the way it was cut. It totally beats the purpose and looks like I am doing the same thing that Qazi was doing in the house. The pain was only to show Qazi that what he did was wrong because he used his health for entertainment, especially when the 15 people in the house were not aware that he was acting and were getting worried for his health. Sorry about the way the promo was cut. Guess it's the format that they use in promoting the shows. I apologise on their behalf."
The latest Weekend Ka Vaar episode on Bigg Boss 20 saw a completely different side of superstar Salman Khan as the actor took on trolls over comments about his appearance and also spoke about the way celebrities are judged on their looks. Addressing the constant comments about his bald look, the Bajrangi Bhaijaan actor removed his hat and T-shirt on stage, sending a clear message to the trolls that he was ready to face their comments.
The actor then spoke about the difference between genuine concern and mocking someone for their appearance. He further hit out at people who constantly comment on the appearance of actors and other public figures. He called such people parasites and said that audiences have the choice to watch or not watch a film.
