Television actor Shoaib Ibrahim has shared a fresh health update about his wife, actress Dipika Kakar, putting to rest speculation about another surgery. According to Shoaib, Dipika has now begun her immunotherapy treatment, marking a new phase in her ongoing battle against cancer. The update comes at a time when fans have been expressing concern over reports of recurring cysts and her overall health.
In his latest vlog, Shoaib revealed that Dipika recently underwent her first immunotherapy session at a Mumbai hospital. He shared that the treatment process takes several hours and expressed hope that it would prove effective in managing her condition. At the same time, he clarified that doctors have not advised another surgery at present, dismissing rumours that had been circulating online.
Dipika's health journey has been closely followed by her fans ever since she was diagnosed with stage 2 liver cancer in 2025. She underwent a major tumour-removal surgery the same year and has since been documenting her recovery through vlogs and social media updates. Earlier this year, she also underwent a procedure to remove a 1.3 cm cyst that was detected during routine follow-up examinations.
The actress faced another setback when subsequent scans revealed the presence of additional small cysts. While doctors have been closely monitoring them, medical experts reportedly decided that immunotherapy would be the most suitable course of treatment at this stage. Previous updates from the couple had indicated that a shift from oral chemotherapy to immunotherapy was being considered depending on medical evaluations.
Shoaib also spoke about the emotional challenges that come with such a prolonged health battle. He has previously admitted that Dipika's recurring health concerns have caused him significant anxiety, leading the family to seek multiple medical opinions and undergo extensive testing to ensure she receives the best possible care.
Despite the difficult circumstances, the couple remains optimistic. Shoaib thanked fans for their continued prayers and support, saying that the family is hopeful about the treatment's outcome. As Dipika begins immunotherapy, well-wishers continue to send messages of encouragement, hoping to see the actress recover and regain her strength in the months ahead.
