The latest episode of Naagin 7 has landed in the middle of a social media storm after a bathtub romance sequence between Aryaman and Radhika left viewers upset. The controversial scene, which aired recently, quickly went viral online, with many fans accusing producer Ekta Kapoor of sidelining the show's main love story in favour of what they called an "unnecessary" romantic fantasy.
The sequence featured Radhika, played by Kanika Mann, imagining an intimate moment with Aryaman, portrayed by Namik Paul. In the episode, Radhika decorates Aryaman's room with flowers and candles before the two share a passionate romantic setup involving a bathtub scene. However, the twist later revealed that the entire sequence was only part of Radhika's imagination.
Despite the reveal, viewers were far from impressed. Several fans took to social media platforms to express frustration over the makers giving more screen time to Aryaman and Radhika instead of developing the chemistry between Aryaman and Ananta, played by Priyanka Chahar Choudhary.
One fan questioned why the storyline was focusing so heavily on the villainous character instead of the lead Naagin. Another viewer criticised the dream sequence for stretching too long and felt it added little to the actual plot. Many users also pointed out inconsistencies in Radhika's character arc, noting that the show had earlier established that she was not in love with Aryaman.
The backlash intensified as hashtags related to the show began trending online. Some fans claimed the series was drifting away from its original supernatural-romance appeal, while others accused the writers of neglecting the central Aryaman-Ananta storyline that audiences had emotionally invested in since the beginning of the season.
The episode comes at a time when the show has already been facing scrutiny over its storytelling choices and fluctuating TRP performance. Recent episodes have focused heavily on conflicts involving Radhika, Apra and the Naag Mandir storyline, leading viewers to demand stronger focus on the lead pair and the fantasy drama elements that made the franchise popular in the first place.
