Sumeet Raghavan, Satish Sahh
Satish Shah, a veteran actor known for his performance in 'Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai', died on Saturday. His death is a tremendous loss to the entertainment industry. Sumeet Raghavan, who played Sahil Sarabhai in the hit sitcom Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai, expressed his condolences on Satish Shah's passing. Sumeet, who played his on-screen son in the program, teared up while discussing his relationship with dad. He paid an impassioned tribute and responded to the outpouring of grief from supporters. He welcomed condolence messages on behalf of the show's cast and said goodbye to Satish Shah.
Sumeet Raghav took to Instagram on Saturday to post a video message expressing his anguish at Satish Shah's death. Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai's cast had a strong friendship, and photos of their reunion went popular on social media a few years ago. Sumeet noted in his video that the show only aired 70 episodes in 2004 due to low audience, but it has since become a cultural phenomenon. He stated that there can only ever be one Indravadan, Satish Shah. Reflecting on their relationship, he stated that they would address each other as their characters whenever they met. "The bigger this show became, the stronger our bond grew. So whenever we would meet each other, we were not Sumeet, Rupali, or Rajesh. We talked to each other as Sahil, Monisha, Rosesh, Dad, and Mom," he said.
Sumeet went on to express grief at losing the senior-most member of the Sarabhai family. He said, "Today, the eldest member of the Sarabhai family has left us. He had been unwell for quite some time. Life can be very cruel. All the fans of Sarabhai are sending their condolences. As the eldest son of this family, I accept all your condolences on behalf of us. And to Dad, I just want to say, so long, Dada. Safe travels, and see you on the other side," he said. Sumeet broke down in tears as he bid farewell to his on-screen father.
In the caption, he writes, "Love you satish kaka.. Love you dadâ¦We all love you and miss you indu..narad muniiiii..sarabhaivssarabhai indravadansarabhai."
Earlier, Rajesh Kumar, who played Rosesh Sarabhai in the sitcom, paid respect to Satish Shah. He referred to it as his 'worst hour' and stated that he feels as if he lost his father. He remembered Satish Shah and described his death as a major loss to both the entertainment business and the Sarabhai family.
