L-Miley Cyrus: R- The Malibu home
The Disney show Hannah Montana completed 20 years since its pilot aired in 2006. To mark the occasion, Miley Cyrus, who played the titular role, sat down for a special anniversary episode where she recalled shooting for the series that had a global impact. For the special, the sets of the show were recreated. Now, in exciting news for fans, the Malibu home shown in the series will be available for fans to rent out.
On Tuesday, the platform Airbnb announced that it has partnered with Disney to recreate Hannah Montana's Malibu beach house as a bookable stay. The exterior of the house has been shown in every episode of the show and has been portrayed as Miley Stewart's home, where she lives with her widowed father and her elder brother. Beginning March 25 at 9 a.m. ET, fans can request to book one of 10 one-night stays running from April 6 through April 16, with accommodations for up to four guests per visit.
Guests staying at the Malibu property will be invited to experience "the best of both worlds," as the home recreates the show's iconic beach house while incorporating interactive elements inspired by Hannah Montana's pop-star persona.
At the heart of the stay is the show's signature closet, reimagined as a transformation space filled with sequined outfits, bold accessories, and references to some of the character's most iconic looks. The property also boasts oceanfront views, a balcony overlooking the Malibu coastline, direct beach access, and décor inspired by memorable moments from the series.
'Hannah Montana' originally premiered in 2006 and ran across four seasons until 2011. The show received much love from audiences, becoming a fan favourite among kids and teenagers.
It even earned four Emmy nominations for Outstanding Children's Program. 'Hannah Montana' followed the story of Miley Stewart, a teenager from Malibu, California, who leads a double life as the famous pop singer Hannah Montana. The show also spawned a film titled Hannah Montana: The Movie, which was released in theatres in April 2009.
