On Friday, August 7, Anuj shared a picture of his late father posing alongside their pet dog. Along with the photograph, the actor wrote, "Dad! May you find peace with your favourite son. Will miss you." His emotional words reflected his grief as he came to terms with the loss of his father.

Anuj's post soon received messages of support from friends, colleagues and members of the television fraternity. Several celebrities took to the comments section to offer their condolences and pray for strength for the actor and his family during the difficult period.
