Gaurav Khanna's wife, Akanksha Chamola, is a popular TV actress known for Swaragini and Bhootu. The 41-year-old actress is from Mumbai and has completed her postgraduate degree in commerce.

Gaurav and Akanksha first met at an audition, where Gaurav instantly felt drawn to her. To strike up a conversation, he pretended to be a newcomer.

To keep the chat going, Gaurav introduced himself as “Rakesh” and even asked Akanksha to Google him. That fun twist eventually led her to discover he was already an established television actor.

Their first meeting created an effortless spark. Gaurav offered to drop her to her next audition, and during that short ride, both realised the connection felt real.

They began dating shortly after. The couple tied the knot in November 2016 in a beautiful three-day ceremony in Kanpur, Gaurav’s hometown.

Their wedding was attended by close family, friends and industry colleagues celebrating their love. Many of his colleagues from the industry attended the grand celebration, including famous television stars Hussain Kuwajerwala, Tina Kuwajerwala, Puja Banerjee, Anuj Sachdeva, among others. 

With a nine-year age gap, the couple is often asked about their dynamic, but both insist it has never affected their relationship.

Addressing their age gap, Akanksha said, “My parents were a little hesitant and the age gap was a slight concern for them as they felt that our thoughts might collide as the Gaurav comes with experience at hand because of his age and I will think and take decisions from my perspectives. My parents have always respected my choices and I also make a point to respect their thoughts.”

Earlier, in an episode of Bigg Boss 19, now-evicted contestant, Mridul Tiwari, asked Gaurav Khanna about fatherhood. To this, he revealed that his wife, didn’t want to have kids. 

Revealing reason behind it, he shared, "Her thinking is also valid. There are a lot of responsibilities. And it's only two of us for each other. If I go to work the entire day and she also gets work, with whom will we keep the kids?"

Gaurav asked popular astrologer Jai Maidaan, "Do I have kids with my wife? I have not made any plans to have children yet. "Do I have it in the future?" To this, the astrologer responded, "She (Gaurav's wife) is seriously considering it."
