A still from India`s Got Latent season 2
Rapper MC Stan grabbed attention during his recent appearance on Samay Raina's India's Got Latent 2 after he pulled out a cigarette and lit it mid-show. Samay was quick to stop him and made a series of remarks that left fellow panellists, including Tanmay Bhat, in splits. A clip of the unexpected moment has since gone viral on social media.
In a video surfacing from the episode, which was released on Sunday (October 26), MC Stan is seen pulling out a cigarette and almost lighting it before Samay tells him to stop. The comedian appears stunned to see the rapper carrying a box of cigarettes to the show and asks, "Yeh kya leke aaya hai bhai?" (What have you brought, brother?)
Samay then laughs uncontrollably and adds, "Sutta leke aaya hai. Ye kya aap tapri pe baithe hai koi?" (He's brought a cigarette! What is this, are we sitting at a roadside tea stall or something) His reaction leaves the other panellists, including Tanmay, Madhur Virli and Arpit Bala, in splits. The video has since been surfacing on social media.
MC Stan has largely stayed away from the spotlight since emerging as the winner of Bigg Boss 16. The rapper keeps his life private and is barely seen at public occasions. He is often spotted visiting a mosque on Fridays to offer prayers. The rapper also appears to be less active on Instagram now. His last post was uploaded in April 2025.
MC Stan, whose real name is Altaf Tadavi, was born in Pune. The 27-year-old rapper is popular for his work in India's desi hip-hop and trap music scene. His stage name comes from American rapper Eminem's song Stan. MC Stan began his music career in 2018 with the release of Wata. Besides independent music, MC Stan has also worked on film soundtracks. He was a part of the rap segment in the 2024 film Baby John and sang the title track of Farrey (2023).
