Enrique Iglesias Live in Mumbai: Here's what you can expect from his return to India

Grammy Award-winning Spanish singer-songwriter Enrique Iglesias is all set to perform in Mumbai this week after 21 years. While he did return to India in 2012, the visit did not see him perform in Mumbai, leaving many Mumbaikars sad.

However, now that he is in the city, here are all the details you need to know about his performances:

Date, Time and Venue
The 'Bailamos' singer will perform at the MMRDA Grounds in Bandra Kurla Complex on October 29 and 30. The tickets for the former are still available for Rs 7,000 and Rs 14,000 for General Access and VIP respectively. The show was added after the originally scheduled show on October 30 was sold out.

Why Enrique's return to India is a big deal
At a time when India is seeing the likes of Coldplay, Cigarettes After Sex, Ed Sheeran and Guns N' Roses perform in Mumbai, the return of Enrique is encouraging because of so much nostalgia attached to the singer, who first visited Mumbai and performed in the city in 2004 on April 11 as a part of his two-city 'Se7en World Tour' during which he also performed in Bengaluru on April 13.

While he did come to India in 2012 as a part of his 'Euphoria World Tour' but only performed in Pune, Gurugram and Bengaluru, making Mumbaikars wait for him till now.

Known for many early hits including 'Hero', 'Rhythm Divine' and 'Escape', the singer-songwriter only got better with his party anthems including 'Dirty Dancer', 'I Like It' made fans see a different side of him.

Coming to India after more than 13 years, Enrique Iglesias is bound to play every one of these hits and more including his latest singles with Pitbull.

Indian fans are excited
Indian fans not only from Mumbai but also other parts have been dreaming of his return. While some of them grew up tuning in to his music on television, but reveal they had to secretly watch the steamy scenes when their parents were not watching them. Many others reminisce not only how Enrique was their first introduction to music, but also because they have been fans of his father Julio Iglesias, long before they were fans of his music.

In an interview with mid-day, Enrique revealed that it was only a matter of time before he came back to India, to perform at Mumbai, and couldn't be happier about it. It is simply because India has such amazing fans and their energy and love is truly extraordinary every time he has performed here.

While he is here to perform, the Spanish singer-songwriter said he is also excited to try the food because India is one of his favourite places to eat.
