The spooky season is here, and Mumbaikars are ready to embrace the Halloween spirit. Known as the city that never sleeps, Mumbai has its own share of eerie corners and haunted spots that have long intrigued locals - many of which have been featured in media reports over the years.

Mukesh Mills, Colaba
This abandoned mill has long been reported by the media as one of Mumbai's most haunted locations. Rumoured to be home to shadowy figures and an unsettling ghostly presence, the eerie atmosphere is often linked to the devastating fire of 1982. Several actors and crew members, who have filmed here have claimed to experience strange sensations and paranormal activity.

Aarey Milk Colony
Known for its lush greenery, Aarey Milk Colony also carries a haunting reputation. Many have reported sightings of a phantom presence - often described as the ghost of a child or a woman dressed in a white saree, said to appear at night asking for a lift.

D'Souza Chawl, Mahim
Frequently cited as one of Mumbai's most haunted spots, D'Souza Chawl has numerous reports from residents who claim to have seen a ghostly figure wandering the streets after dark. Legend has it that a woman accidentally fell into a well - still present in the area - leaving behind a restless spirit.

Sanjay Gandhi National Park
A serene escape known for its natural beauty amid the city's chaos, Sanjay Gandhi National Park also carries eerie tales. Locals have claimed to witness unexplained occurrences and ghostly sightings deep within its forest trails, giving this haven of greenery a mysterious edge after sunset.
