Global K-pop sensation BTS' Jung Kook is set to make his way to India - through an exclusive exhibition titled ‘GOLDEN: The Moments' exhibition, inspired by his first solo album, Golden (2023). The exhibition will be held in Mumbai at Mehboob Studios in Bandra from December 12 to January 11 in 2026.

This immersive, multi-sensory experience will allow fans to relive the journey of the album through art, visuals, and soundscapes that celebrate Jung Kook's artistry.

Formed in 2013 under BigHit Entertainment (now HYBE), BTS - comprising RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook, has become one of the most influential music groups in the world.

From December 2022 to June this year, the group was on a hiatus due to South Korea's mandatory military enlistment. Recently, member Jimin confirmed that the group is in the works for their comeback album set to release in March 2026, making this exhibition a timely reminder of BTS' growing cultural impact and deepening connection with fans in India.

The Korean Wave (Hallyu) - which first captured Indian attention in 2012 with Korean star PSY's viral hit 'Gangnam Style' and later through popular K-dramas, food, and beauty products - has now found a firm foothold among Indian youth. From binge-worthy K-dramas on OTT platforms to the rise of K-beauty and K-fashion trends, Korean culture has become an integral part of India's evolving urban pop identity.

BTS fans in Mumbai are ecstatic about the rare opportunity to attend an official event dedicated to the global pop icon. Here are some of the reactions:

At first I thought, this would be another international thing we'll just scroll past and move on with our lives. But no, Jungkook really said Mumbai, you're next. And it's so him from stadiums to Mehboob Studio. It's not just about Jungkook, it's like all the songs, finally found their way into something we can walk through, feel, and remember. I can't wait to attend!

It feels amazing! Finally something for BTS ARMY in India. I am super excited to see the exhibition. It's not every day that Indian fans get a chance to experience something this close to Jungkook and BTS's artistry. The fact that an exhibition dedicated to his art, music, and visual storytelling is coming to Mumbai feels like a dream come true for many. I'm thrilled to relive Jung Kook's GOLDEN: Moments segment - each outfit, performance, and photos will feel like opening a time capsule of pure talent and passion, letting fans experience the golden glow that made his album unforgettable.

I'm genuinely excited and really looking forward to Jungkook's exhibition, it's going to be the first official BTS-related event in India, and that too in Mumbai. Having a big K-pop name hold an official event here feels like a huge moment for the local fandom. It also signals that a full-scale K-pop concert in India might not be far away. Getting tickets is definitely going to be a challenge, but honestly… consider this our practice round for when BTS actually come to India.

Even though this exhibition isn't a concert, it still offers Indian fans a chance to connect with Jung Kook's artistry and emotion beyond music.

K-pop's influence in India has been steadily growing in recent years. In fact, HYBE, BTS' management company, recently announced the launch of its subsidiary label in Mumbai, marking a significant step in expanding the K-pop industry's presence in the country.
