Over many decades, the church is popular for the Our Lady of Perpetual Succour Novena on Wednesdays, as devout Catholics from all over come to pray there
Our Lady of Perpetual Succour, more commonly translates to Our Lady of Perpetual Help, which is a title for Mother Mary, as she answers to all those who seek her help
Known to be one of the oldest Roman Catholic churches in Mumbai, St Michael's Church in Mahim was founded in 1534
