My boyfriend spends more time with his smartphone than he does chatting with me when we are on a date. I find it extremely annoying and disrespectful, but he thinks it's perfectly okay. What can I do to change his behaviour?
Get up and leave. If he intends to spend more time with you, he should learn a few manners.

I have been in four relationships over the past five years. Whenever I think that things are getting a little serious, and feel as if we should move to the next level, the woman I am with decides to end it. I'm not sure if this is because of something I'm doing. I'm a nice guy, and I treat women with respect, which is also why I haven't had a problem getting into a new relationship ever. I don't know if I'm being pushy though, because why else would they all break up with me just around the time I want to get serious? Are there things I can do to prevent this from happening?
I'm not sure, because I haven't been in a relationship with you for a year, so I can't comment on whether you change around that time or not. On a serious note, a lot of this has to do with the women you date too, because you haven't taken into account the possibility that none of them may want to take this relationship to the next level just because you want to. Not everyone thinks of change after just one year, so you need to think about what this means and what your notion of the 'next level' is. Does it mean you want them to commit to you in some way? Do you feel the need to get engaged? A relationship is about two people reaching some kind of consensus. The next time this happens, just ask your girlfriend what the problem is. No one outside the relationship can comment on what has gone wrong.
