This makes no sense to me. If you choose to be in touch with someone who offends you regularly, simply because you have some delusional need to be friends with your ex-boyfriends, I'm not sure why asking me or anyone for advice is going to solve anything. If he sends you messages that you don't like or appreciate, and refuses to take your requests seriously, block him. It's not rocket science and you aren't in the running for a Nobel Peace Prize.
I would like to get to know a guy a little better and then asking him if he would be interested in dating me, but I don't know what to say to him. Everything I think about saying sounds foolish.
You don't have to say anything. Spend time with him, get to know him a little better, try and figure out if he likes spending time with you too, and let things happen when they will. You don't need a manual. People have been asking each other out for centuries without the help of a book, so you will do just fine too.
How do I get my girlfriend to stop commenting on every post I put up on Facebook? It's embarrassing.
This isn't a question about dating at all, is it? I suggest you check out Facebook's FAQ on how to prevent specific people from commenting on your posts.
