Pune-based author Hrishikesh Bhagwat is out with his first book, Life's Cricket. This book revolves around his life and how he balances his career and cricketing life. The GUIDE caught up with the author:

Young engineer to author
I have done my Mechanical Engineering from Wadia College. I love reading books and I have also written articles in my school and college magazines. I realised that writing a book is not difficult and I should follow my instinct. So, I started writing Life's Cricket while I was in my second year of engineering. Now after more than two years, it's complete and published. I am inspired by international authors such as JK Rowling and Conan Doyle. I also admire Indian authors like Amish Tripathi.

First-time author
Being a first-time author, you need to take a lot of efforts. But if you have done proper research and are dedicated enough, you can also be quite good. I have to thank my family members and friends for supporting me through this journey. I am already planning my next story but as of now I am looking forward to my admission in the US. My book had taken a backseat for a while but I am working on it and it will come out soon hopefully.
