Fotothon, a 24-hour photography competition gives nature and photography enthusiasts a chance to showcase their talent and win big


Ecofolks, an NGO that works for the betterment of the environment is hosting the second edition of Fotothon, a 24-hour photography competition. All participants will be given a theme related to nature (last year it was Green versus Grey, to highlight the problems of concretisation).

"The contests ends on 12 pm the next day, people must submit their photographs in JPEG format in a memory card and in that duration participants need to click photographs related to the theme at any location," says Ekta Pange, one of the organisers. The contest is divided into three categories: Photofeature, Best Picture and Best Macro.

There's a Corporate Fotothon where teams can register by paying Rs 20,000; the proceeds from which will go towards conservation of leopards in the city and climate change awareness programmes.u00a0Online registrations for the contest have shut already and now only on-the-spot entries are open at the venue.
