Like actors who have big awards in their names adding to their credibility, international DJs have poll rankings such as DJMag numbering to add to their repute. However, Indian DJs, though plenty in number still have a lot more to ask for as far as official rankings and favourite lists are concerned.
This year's nominees include DJ Pearl, DJ Ankytrixx and DJ Arjun Vagale
Helping them make a mark is website Myfavdj.in. Since the past three years the site has been conducting it's annual Myfav Awards, where the public gets to vote for their favourite DJs across genres be it House, Drum n Bass or Bollywood. The voting began on December 1, 2012 and closed in January 31, 2013, and during this period, the site received 44,000 votes.
The nominated artistes this year include Arjun Vagale, (last year's winner) Anish Sood, Ankytrixx, Ash Roy, B.L.O.T, Dualist Inquiry, Kohra, Lost Stories and Pearl. Performing at the event will be Arjun Vagale (one EDM act Jalebee Cartel), Anytrixx, Boom Baba and Janux.
