Yellowleg.com offers a handpicked selection of fiction and non-fiction travel books for readers looking to fully experience their holiday destinations

If you're looking for a travel book recommendation or just inspiration for where to head to for your next holiday, yellowleg.com is confident of pointing you in the right direction. By pegging itself as 'The Discerning Traveller's Bookstore' the website hopes to attract avid readers, travel enthusiasts and the plain curious to buy travel books at competitive prices.

The site also has a buy-back offer that entitles readers to sell books purchased off the site for 50% of the selling price.

How it works
The sign-up process is simple enough, and all interested users need to do to open an account is enter a first name, a last name and an email id. Books are sorted by location. So, you can choose from travelogues or stories based in Africa, Antartica, Asia, Australasia, Europe, North America, aside from an 'Others' section that
lists fiction from 'Across the Globe'.

Work in progress
At last count, the site listed just 31 books. So, the list is by no means a comprehensive one. The reason being that the site owners have 'sifted through the crap', which is why they claim 'if it's not worth your time, it's not on this site'.

But when a website positions itself has being home to the 'best travel literature', then the lofty claim rings a little untrue.

The site also carries a price guarantee. So, if after purchase of a book you find the same or newer edition of the book delivered within the same timeframe (three working days) for a cheaper price, the site owners claim that they will refund 11% of the price difference.

The 50% buy-back offer also lists conditions, one of them being the decision to buy the books back is at the site owners' sole discretion. Fair? We might never know.
Good to know
Ultimately, a site that promotes reading and travel, and that too at discounted prices, can't be a bad thing.
Though yellowleg.com needs to work on its page design, user-friendliness and update its book selection before it can seduce the 'discerning' reader and traveller into logging on.
