Mumbai Wallbook, a wall painting activity in the city that took place last year has entered the Limca Book of Records for the longest wall painted.

More than 500 professional artists painted the 900 meter long wall from Mahim (W) to Matunga (W) on the Senapati Bapat Marg within five hours, starting at 7 am on May 20, 2012.

This wall art depicts Mumbai - the city of dreams - where people come to fulfil their dreams from different parts of the country

The record appeared in the Paintings Chapter of the 2013 edition of Limca Book of Records. Artists from various art colleges unleashed their creativity with the theme, Visualise Mumbai - Design your Dream City.

The WallBook is a mass wall painting activity to bring professional, amateur and budding artists on one platform to showcase their skills and create an expression for a better tomorrow. The Mumbai Wallbook was the first chapter of the wallbook series followed by Delhi.
