Singer-songwriter Norah Jones, who is undertaking her first Indian tour, starting March 3, will also help create awareness about breast cancer. A Summer's Day, the musical festival that Jones will be headlining and her India Tour have partnered with Women's Cancer Initiative - Mumbai's Tata Memorial Hospital.
For the initiative, a Think Pink stage will be erected at A Summer's Day, dedicated to raise awareness about breast cancer in the country. The Think Pink stage will represent the pink ribbon, which is the universal symbol of the fight against breast cancer.
The artistes who will feature on the Think Pink stage along with Jones, include singer-songwriter Siddharth Basrur who also features as the vocalist for Metal band Goddess Gagged, Indie musician Nischay Parekh accompanied by drummers Jivraj Singh and upcoming Alt-Rock act Spud In The Box.
Throughout the day, through volunteers and messaging, the initiative will aim to raise awareness towards breast cancer with women at the festival. Additionally, part of the proceeds of A Summer's Day will go towards the initiative in their endeavour to create awareness and support the treatment of women
with cancer.
