Enjoy renovating your home with four easy-to-use apps

Home renovation, small or big, can be a daunting task. And if you are a busy professional in Mumbai, it's unimaginable. Therefore, we scorched the Web to find out portals and services that will help you lessen the burden, and carry out the much-needed home improvement task you have been postponing for years, in style.

Shop in VR: Foyr.com

How many times do you wish you could see how a furniture, bed or table lamp would look like in your room before making an online purchase, without having to rely only on your imagination? Always, right? Foyr.com (available as an Android app as well) aims to solve that problem with Virtual Reality (VR) views of its room designs and products. All you have to do is select your room design, press the VR button on the app, put your phone on a VR headset, and you get a 360-degree view of 150 plus designs, over 2000 inventories and more. And to see how a product would look in your room, you can take a photograph of your room and drag-drop furniture items. This is as real as it gets.
Note: If you don't have a VR headset, you can try the Google Cardboard VR kit available on Amazon for R300.
