The game, expected this holiday season, offers a reimagining of the famous movie
An oft-used line with newbie parents is that adults don't give birth to children; children give birth to adults. If we were to look at the Star Wars saga, then there is a possibility that, just as video games are inspired by movies, a new branch of the Star Wars saga might be inspired by an upcoming video game.
Of course, at the time of writing, this idea perhaps exists only in my head, but consider this the new game series raises a very important 'what if' question because it looks at what would have happened if Darth Vader had been killed by Starkiller. This means that, in this reimagination of the storyline, episodes 4, 5 and 6 which are held together by Darth Vader can be completely recreated.
Money matters
And considering that Star Wars is one of the most profitable of all film brands Wikipedia says that the overall box office revenue generated by the six Star Wars films has totalled approximately $4.3 billion, making it the third-highest grossing film series of all time there is a strong possibility that George Lucas will contemplate a movie series if this concept proves a hit in the video game segment.
And if past performance is an indicator of future events, this will happen sooner rather than later. In fact, the LucasArts site says that the game, which was originally released in September 2008, has sold six million units worldwide. Chances are very high that, when the new game is released, it too will be a best seller.

Future prospects
And when the game wins, there is a high chance that people will want a movie that looks at a Star Wars world without the inimitable Darth Vader. And naturally, Lucas will have to make a movie about it, and Star Wars will then beat both James Bond and Harry Potter to become the highest grossing film series of all time.
Don't believe me? I find your lack of faith disturbing.

Who was Starkiller?
Starkiller was the code name for Darth Vader's secret apprentice. A powerful, almost primal Force-wielder, he was forged by Vader into a lethal living weapon that the Dark Lord groomed in secret in a bid to defeat the Emperor and rule the galaxy. Vader discovered his secret apprentice on the Wookiee world of Kashyyyk, when he was just a boy named Galen Marek.
