Apple iPhone 8 may get a glass body, but it may not use the regular aluminium alloy, which it did in the previous devices. Apple decided to take a shift from Foxconn and place orders for the stainless steel casings at Jabil.
The last time when Apple worked with stainless steel was during the manufacturing of iPhone 4. Though Apple is returning to the stainless steel chassis for iPhone 8, yet fabrication process will be different for iPone 8 than that of iPhone 4 and 4s. From iPhone 8, Apple is said to be using a metal forging method instead of common billet milling.
Apple is also predicted to use technologies like an OLED display, wireless charging and an invisible home button for the upcoming iPhone 8.
