Sharda Sangeet Vidyalaya
Sharda Sangeet Vidyalaya was established in 1927 with the aim of propagating the art of Indian Classical music, dance, theatre and yoga. It is affiliated to the Akhil Bharitya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya Mandal. They offer training in Hindustani and Carnatic vocal music, instrumental music, dance forms such as Bharatanatyam and Kathak among other activities.

Shanmukhananda Sangeetha Sabha
While Shanmukhananda Hall is known to host musical events, the Sri Shanmukhananda Fine Arts and Sangeetha Sabha (over 60 years old) also runs a music school that strives to keep our music traditions alive. They are one of the city's few professional institutions that train students for a diploma in Carnatic Music, recognised by Mumbai University. The music school has 400 students and they train in Carnatic style vocals, Veena, Violin and Mrudangam. In the Hindustani tradition, they teach vocals, Sitar, Tabla and Harmonium. Bharatanatyam classes are also conducted. The school library has 2,000 books on Carnatic and Hindustani music, including journals and souvenirs.

Vyas Sangeet Vidya Mandir
Dedicated to music since 1947, Vyas Sangeet Vidya Mandir has been striving to popularise Hindustani Classical music in the city. At the institution, students are given theoretical training as well as the opportunity to showcase their talent at the annual programmes. They are also encouraged to participate in different competitions and are guided for the same. The school is also present online and students can access Raaga files or classroom teachings by registering on the site that also provides a forum where students can air their views or clear their doubts.
